Launch of international training programme for the Blockchain technology skill
Worldskills Russia and Southern Federal University have launched a training programme for the Blockchain technology skill for students of SENAI Institute of Technology (Brazil). The instructors are Eugenia Ishchukova, Blockchain technology Skill Competence Manager and senior lecturer of Information Technology Security in the Institute of Computer Technology and Information Security at Southern Federal University; Vyacheslav Salmanov, programmer at the Institute of Computer Technology and Information Security at Southern Federal University, and silver medalist of the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 in the Blockchain technology skill; and Kirill Romanenko, a postgraduate student of the Information Technology Security Department of the Institute of Computer Technology and Information Security at Southern Federal University.
‘Our university was one of the first in the country to start training specialists in future skills, including those related to developing blockchain technology-based solutions. Over the past several years, we have had plenty of experience in training professionals in this area. We are proud that our students have repeatedly won or been recognized as runners-up at various blockchain technology skill competitions, including the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Global Competition. Today, it is extremely important to convey the practices we have accumulated, share our experiences, and receive feedback. I am convinced that this program will benefit all future participants,’ highlights Gennady Veselov, Director of the Institute of Computer Technology and Information Security.
The training programme consists of 14 classes (4 lectures and 10 seminars) divided into 6 modules:
• Creating basic elements of blockchain systems;
• Cryptography in modern blockchain systems;
• The Ethereum platform;
• Smart contract;
• Client application development;
• Comprehensive blockchain-based comprehensive solution design;
• Examination through a practice-oriented assignment.
‘The current development rate of the digital industry imposes its own conditions. Technologies and tools for their application are rapidly evolving. That is why it is so important to stay ahead. Future skills are already in demand in the today's economic environment, of which we are acutely aware, due to incessant requests for blockchain professionals. I would like to note that, as the blockchain technology Skill Competence Manager, I am glad to meet so many like-minded people from outside Russia. Previously, our partners included young professionals from China and India. Now we have participants from Brazil on our team. And we hope that our international expert community will continue to grow bigger and evolve. Events like this one should help us to do so,’ Eugenia Ishchukova notes in her welcoming speech.
After the final exam, students will receive certificates and skills passports.
