About WorldSkills Russia

WorldSkills Russia is a non-commercial organization the activities of which are aimed at the development of vocational education and skills development based on best international and national practices.

WorldSkills Russia arranges professional Competitions at the national and world levels, develops tools and technologies to promote national skills development systems, holds training sessions and programmes and facilitates the improvement of labour efficiency.


By the end of 2020, over 550 Skills Competitions had been held in Russia, which were attended by more than 40,000 Competitors per year. The Skills Competitions are held for 197 skills grouped into 7 blocks: Social and Personal Services, Creativity and Design; Production and Engineering Technologies; Transport and Logistics; Construction and Building Technology; Information and Communications Technology; and Education.

Together with international experts and organizations, WorldSkills Russia conducts studies targeted at the present and future state of professions and skills.

These studies serve as a basis for the future development, testing and implementation of new skills. The WorldSkills Russia training programmes aim at spreading new skills and experience within countries so they may then scale these practices and technologies, thereby improving their national training systems and transforming the economy.
